Default 458 ugly

the thing is a technological marvel, but it looks like a step backwards.

sleek but lacking in distinguishing feature. the slits in the hood make it look unfinished. the 3 pipes are a joke from the 80s. wheels like low end aftermarket ones. i'd still take one, but i'd prefer the looks of the 430.

So being slightly less attractive than the F430 makes it ugly?

... ok

I know looks are subjective, but you're wrong.

How about throwing up some photos that illustrate your point? Or at least providing us with some cars you feel to be ahead in terms of styling?

If the Yugo from the 80/90's is your idea of beautiful, so be it.
But the 458 Italia is beautiful.

I love it. It's amazing how much of the 360/430 they managed to capture, while at the same time making such a clean new design.

I could go on and about all the things I love about the styling, but nobody is going to read it all.

I agree that it isn't the prettiest Ferrari, but I don't think it's ugly. The performance is suitable to make me not care what it looks like.

I still think the prettiest modern Ferrari was the 360, although the interior styling has improved much in the last few years.

you're right. it's not UGLY, but i have a hard time understanding what people are raving about.

Do i really need to post pics? are there not enough out there?

it all subjective, but was just wondering if anyone else agreed.

I love the 458. I think it's an absolutely stunning car, and has the performance to match. But I am disappointed in what I have seen on other forums about the build quality. For the money spent, and the name you are buying I would expect perfection. A great example of what I am talking about comes from L4P from a gentleman that did a complete detail job on a new 458. In this picture you can even see how the bumper is misaligned from the passenger side compared to the driver side.

That's completely unacceptable for such a car. The rest of his post continues to show all of the the other imperfections in the paint (which were very plentiful especially on the front bumper and fenders).
