Rodney wins. But millertown gives us a good reminder!!!
Too many bike crashes to mention, but did a flying wallenda in Wyoming after falling asleep at decent speed >100 feet after hitting the median...323 gtx rally car, held together long enough to keep me alive. Car was totaled, but I walked away. Don't drive tired!

i dunno i thought bullitt's story was pretty good
i love it when people attempt to lay their own faults on you, or when lazy cops place the blame on the easiest targets...and you end up stickin it to the man, always puts a smile on my face
..i've been in a couple of these situations

This happened in Irvine on the freeway portion of Jamboree heading east past Barranca around 9:30pm. There was some firewood scattered across the freeway which I hit going 70mph and threw the car into a Jersey wall at about 60mph.
The impact HURT and I couldn't move for about 5 mins since it felt like I got a KO punch buy a heavyweight boxer. I was able to walk away from the crash with just a few scratches on my hands. Was REAL sore the next day tho.
Long story short... I was 15 years old, passenger in my buddys ford ranger, no seatbelt and no airbag. We hit a tree at 75mph stopping us instantly. Knocked out 16 teeth top and bottom. Lips just about torn off completely... Some teeth were found stuck in my lips and the roof of my mouth. Nose shattered into over 25 pieces and repositioned under my left eye... Etc etc. 2 years and 10 surgeries later I looked good as new. It was a rough experience but also taught me a lot.

My 1st RSX, I had it 3 months before I slipped on some black ice and hit a tree head on, then my momentum flipped (not rolled) the car over end over end once and landed upside down... Walked away from this w/ just a few minor cuts.
You can see that I would have kissed the tree if I wasn't wearing my seat belt.

This shows how far the car rocked after flipping...

The tree the next day (+ some snow)

At the towing facility before insurance picked it up

mmm Battery acid.

I had used an old disposable to take pics of it upside down before the tow truck pulled it out of the trees but the film was bad and the pics didn't come out

RT-615 tires, going to dinner with then my gf, we're about to exit and we're getting into the exit lane. It's a long winding stretch or road and as soon as we get into the exit lane on the right, there it is, a full semi-truck tire with rims and everything laying in front of me.
I swerve to the left, rear kicks out, because it was just starting to rain that evening, and I can't regain traction, and we start to slide to the center median. This is scary, because it's at 6pm in I-75 south, the road on each side is full of cars. As soon as I knew I can't regain control, at this point we're completely turn 90 degrees toward the center median, I see a blue f150 go by right in front of us, then everything slowed down. I see cars moving, passing my car while I'm sliding over to the median, then we see the center median approaching so ever slowly, then we hit it head on.
We spun around few times and luckly ended up facing with the traffic on the emergency lane. There are smokes everywhere, and I make sure my gf is ok, she's making sure I'm ok, then we get out of the car.
We made sure again that we're alive again, and I go back into the car and get my AEM EMS out of the car and stick it in my bag. Then call the 911.
We were seriously lucky, because we didn't get hit by a on-coming car at 80mph while sliding across 5 lanes toward the concrete median barrier and we hit the median barrier square, which we think saved our lives.
Car was totaled, and I got the s2000 a month later.
that was the worst accident I had, since my gf was in the car.
Yeesh... This is one of those times that having the best story really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
3 years ago I got in a small wreck with my '96 Accord Coupe when a lady blew her red light and stopped in front of me. There was a lot of snow on the ground and I was doing less than 30mph in 2nd gear. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough traction or room to stop and my car/hood got crunched by her Trailblazer.
So a week later, I'm car shopping and a buddy of mine finds a used RX8 for less than $20,000 and convinces me to at least drive it to see how it feels. After all, on paper it's got some decent statistics with 50:50 weight distribution and high-revving engine, etc.
I get to the dealership and the salesman and I head out in the car and with the roads clean and empty, I open the car up a little. I hit about 90mph at some point during the drive and the car feels alright. We get to a stop sign where I come to a complete stop and the salesman grins, "What do ya think?" I reply that it's not bad and definitely worth considering.
I put the car into 1st gear and proceed to make a left turn, accelerating through the turn. Remaining in first, I was definitely doing 30mph or less. I think I must have hit a small patch of ice or slushy water or something, but suddenly the ass-end swung around to the right. I try to catch it and succeed, only to swing back around to the left. I catch it again, fishtailing back to the right, and again to the left. This last time around, the whole car slammed into and then just crept up on a curb and came to a stop.
We're both unhurt and we get out and look at the car and notice it's definitely not pretty any more. To keep the front tires straight, I had to hold the steering-wheel at 3 o'clock. As if that weren't enough, the rear-driver side wheel wasn't aiming straight any more, it was looking at 2 o'clock. OUCH!!
We got back to the dealer and the GM was nice enough to care about me and the salesman. The sales manager told me we'd either call cops or I could buy the car as is. We ended up filing with both our insurance companies and Illinois state law says that the owner of the car needs to deal with their own insurance irrespective of the driver.
I got away without having to shell out a dime, but my insurance spiked after having 2 accidents in less than 2 weeks. I also walked away learning that I'm far from Schumacher and I was just thankful that nothing stupid happened while I was kissing 90mph earlier in the drive.
Long story short:
Summer tires
+ Sub-40 degree weather
+ Salt/Ice/Water
+ Totally ignorant cocky driver

A bad day and 2-3 years of repenting to insurance companies.
