You know I wouldnt mind the RDX if it didnt look so...well UGLY. I mean I believe Honda could do better with the styling of this vehicle. The hardware seems amazing but come on. Anybody else in agreement?

I think it smokes the X3 in the looks department. I could definitely see myself buying an RDX if I were in that market. It's a real soft-roader though.

Yeah the X3 is definitely no oil painting but in person the RDX looks a bit funky.

To me the RDX looked better as a concept, but the production version still isn't that bad. The interior is also very slick in my opinion. From what I read it easily outperforms the X3, but the ride is a little on the stiff side (as is for the x3). If I were shopping for an all weather car I would definitely take a look at the RDX.

I *hate* the way it looks, it seems very nosey. Shame because the MDX is actually sexy, and as stated that hardware on the RDX is appealing. I just can't get past that front end. And it seems that a lot of people agree because they are a rare bird out on the road.

It's a different look but to me it's light years ahead of the X3 (which looks like a poor rendition of a Doc Martens boot on wheels). I'd have no problem driving one, though I prefer the look of the new MDX.

The interior is also very nice in the RDX. I have yet to drive one but it is supposed to be very, very sporty (as good as many so-called "sport sedans").

We test drove the RDX and the (07) X3 back to back, the RDX is ever so slightly quicker off the line, but lacked in the mid-range. The RDX did not ride well or handle that well either. We also couldn't stand the abundance of hard plastic on the dash. Looks are purely subjective, but I think the X3 looks better in and out. The pre 07 is a different story. So, we went with the X3...

Yeah BMW really did an overhaul on the latest 07. They basically addressed most of the problem.

I didnt ask if the RDX was better than the X3. I was just talking about if anybody cared for the outside looks. If it boils down to it, I'd prefer an X3 to the rdx. (not by much though)

^^ I had high hopes for the RDX when we saw it in 05 at the Detroit auto show (as a concept). I was/am very against an SUV (or SAV in BMW speak ) because I really don't like them, but the X3 drives like a jacked-up 328xi with more power. That and the lease rates on the 3 series wagons is crazy, silly high. Let's just say my wife won the X3 argument...
