Almost considered downsizing....
Thanks for all the useful comments, guys. I'm probably going to keep both cars. I like them both for different reasons and after spending this whole weekend driving around in the Vette (high 60's/low 70's sunny), I can't live without it right now. haha. It's not the perfect track car and it's not the perfect cruise around town car, but it does both very well. Then on normal work days, I can be comfy in the SUV and float down the road driving at semi-sane speeds.
That said, a guy on one of my other car boards contacted me about selling his '11 black Diamond CTS-V with 6500 miles on it and trading my Yukon, so maybe I'll see where that goes. For the right price, I'd DD the V and keep the Z.

^ If it were the right price, I'd do that in a heart beat. But then again, I haven't been able to stand driving an SUV for years. IMO unless you need to go off road with more than two other passengers, or need 4wd and a passenger capacity of more than 4 other people there is no point to having one.
Being in Dallas there might be a few days a year where you really need the 4wd, but a used Subaru wagon that you could get for <$10k could do 95% of anything that your Yukon could. As I and other people have said, look at what you want, what you need, and do what will make you the happiest and still make sense.

+1, I don't like driving SUVs, I'd rather drive a minivan than an suv minus offroading of course. Which one I'd rather be seen driving or owning is a different story.
Man, what a problem to have quikag! I'd keep the two cars, but I'd want to drop the SUV unless I had a family bigger than 4.

I could run out and buy X, but I've just gotten where I don't feel like sinking a bunch of money into something that's used on such rare occasion. The S2000 seems like a great "value" for the occasional weekend run up into the old city, around town, where it's awesome to have a convertible and it's mostly 35-45MPH roads.
Anymore, I just enjoy hanging out with the wife and little one, hitting up the beach (basically walking across the street, so no driving), pulling out a board, training, fooling around on some personal development/code projects. Been plinking around with the guitar and Garage Band, doing some A/V projects for the new office space...
I'm still a car guy at heart, and I talk/research/etc., a new car, but when the shopping excitement wears off, the owning consideration - especially with $50K, $60K, $70K, more[?] ... sitting in the garage - just doesn't appeal to me much.
Thanks for letting me rambling in your thread, I realize it was barely on topic, but it just got me thinking.
