I bought the 06 Civic Si, it was a recent trade-in at a Honda dealer in my area. It looks and drives like new, I would never guess it had 106k miles. It is a 1-owner vehicle w\ clean carfax for $10,700.

I'm not looking to race\mod these cars in any way, simply a means of getting back and forth work, thought either of these would be fun to drive. I saw the Civic in person tonight and it's in excellent condition. Going to look at the RSX tomorrow. Trying to decide which I'd rather have. Opinions anyone?
The RSX looks way nicer. I was going to suggest exactly this route to take, find an older S like an 03-05 for less money and buy a DD for work.

Get a CR, or any S2000 with a hardtop and low miles! Low miles gives you peace of mind. A hardtop will make the winter and highway driving more tolerable, especially as a daily driver. Although it's a Honda and will last forever, knowing that you're the one who is putting most of the miles on it is just icing on the cake. Happy hunting!

I too prefer the RSX looks over the Civic Si coupe and I would have rather had the si sedan over coupe; I don't hate the coupe but the sedan would have been more practical for a DD. The car is rubbing off on me though so I have no regrets with my purchase, the interior/body/paint is in awesome condition, motor\trans feel great, and the price was right. On top of that, I was in a financial crunch and needed to get out of my current lease asap and didn't want to settle on a crappy S2000 and figured I wouldn't come across many relatively new civic si's, locally, and in this condition for the price. Now that I have a fun DD I can patiently hunt down a nice clean s2k. It's so nice to be back in a 6-speed manual with a rev-happy motor, I've been driving a slush-box for the last year and a half.

I'm hoping to find a stock GPW AP2 (tan or red int) with under 50k miles, I will also take a BB or silverstone and be happy. I got such a great deal on my AP1, I can't believe how expensive they are selling for these days: in 04 I paid $22k for a MY00 w\ 18k miles. I see a GPW\tan every day on my commute to work and I am envious. My time will come though.
