Default Another rumored S2000 Replacement

http://blog.caranddriver.com/rumor-h...2000-roadster/

So the title clearly says RUMOR. And then a few short paragraphs, jumps to definitive "will be" statements at the close. I'm as eager as the next enthusiast to see an S2000 successor, but don't these auto journalists have ANY responsibility to report accurately?

More indication that this is wishful thinking - if Honda truly wanted to celebrate an anniversary, why claim 70 years when 75 would be just around the corner?

It looks a little like the current miata with a body kit. Can't say I am a fan. Until Honda themselves actually release something I won't get my hopes up. Thinking about it I would think we wouldn't see something until 2019 or later since it will be 10 years since the last year of S2000.

Could this really not have gone into the existing S20000 successor rumor thread?

Either way, this looks horrible. And hearing mention of torque vectoring and electric motor assist makes me wince in pain.

I won't believe this until I see Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld arguing over who gets the first one ...

I didn't know we had a thread like that.

Anyways, the article does not make any mention of where the illustration came from, and it is labeled "Holiday Auto" with no other reference. It might be some artists rendering, but in the theme of shitty reporting, the article doesn't link it to the previous or upcoming S2000.

I will never believe any "NEW S2000!!!" rumor until I see one in a showroom.

It's like the multiple threads and endless bickering on the Corvette Forum about whether there will be a 2019 C8 mid engine Zora Corvette introduced in 2018.
