Another S2000 Replacement Thread
Greetings. Unfortunately my ap2 was never recovered after being stolen about a month back. It's been a great 5 years owning one, and I plan to buy another one when I have a safer place to park it. For the time being however, I'm going to be taking the insurance money and going with something a little less likely to be stolen. With that said, here are my requirements
- < $16,000
-RWD/AWD
-Manual Transmission
-Leather Interior
-Reasonably reliable (I know few cars are as reliable as the s2000, but i'd want something that wouldn't be giving me issues every other day. I can live with a few down days a year)
-Reasonably Easy to perform most maintenence/repairs myself
-Engaging/fun to drive (Again, few cars are as fun to drive as the s2000, but I'd still like something that won't put me to sleep lol)
I'm not opposed to older cars (been considering an e30) as long as it's a good example and has been well kept.
Current cars on my short list
-2004-2005 Cadillac CTS-V
-Mazdaspeed 6
-Genesis Coupe 2.0
-E30 (preferably a 325is)
-E36 M3 (preferably a coupe)
My list is pretty varied, as they are all cars I feel have character and could see myself driving. I've been leaning towards the e30, as I've always been a fan of them. I'm open to other suggestions/discussion though so throw them out! Thanks!

E46 BMW 330i - with the right options (ZHP, perhaps?) you could get a car that's quite quick, moderately reliable, looks good and is pretty fun.

Didn't think of these. I'm not too crazy about how they look, but you can't deny the bang for the buck performance-wise.
Always been a fan of these, but I'd prefer something with a bit more oomph. Been looking around casually for one though as a possibility, although it's not too high on my list.

Really leaning towards a local 04 CTS-V. Car has 68k miles, two previous owners, accident free and has had most of the problem areas addressed. For 15k, it's a lot of car. Regardless, keep throwing out suggestions
