Default Anybody want to swap slip-on?

I just bought a DnD satin black slipon about two months ago. I did not know how loud they were before hand, is anyone interested in swapping for another slipon in the DFW, TX. area?

Judging from your user's name, I'm assuming that you have a R6? I think it's going to be pretty hard to find somebody to swap since D&D is towards the bottom on quality, it would be actually downgrading. You should try to sell the exhaust, and put it towards whatever exhaust that you want. Just some idea.

Actually the reason I bought this pipe is so that cars around me will notice my position and not get sideswiped or anything of the sort. I wasn't really looking for performance, if I did I would of gotten a full exhaust. I told people my purposes and they recomended the dnd. Now I think its toooo loud. People in my neighborhood organization have complained, so I cruise the streets doing 15mph in 4th just to get home, especially at night. Another reason its gives cops another reason to pull me over, but God knows if I had a Harley that shook the ground and set off all sorts of alarms they just sit back and admire(no offense to Harley riders).

That's because the Harley sounds good when it's loud unlike most 4-cylinder bikes.

I get more comments on how good my Ducati sounds than on how loud it is. Could you just put the old pipe back on?

Maybe it's me...but Harley's sound like crap. Isn't there some sort of EPA regulation against loud and obnoxious Harleys? Seriously, I much rather prefer a 4 cylinder with a nice exhaust set-up. At least it only gets loud when you get on the throttle. Harleys, they sound freakin' loud just idling. Not all...but most of them.

harley's too powerful - they've tried to(or have already) patented their sound. The epa wants them to switch to all water cooled motors for pollution issues and has not suceeded. The epa has put new regs for 03 for dirt bikes in national forests - I think it was 80dbs...the story was in motorcycle industry news a few months ago. As far as regs - it just depends on the city it seems - some target cruisers, others sport bikes.
