At the SCCA Solo2 NE Divisional, I saw a G Stock 2007 MCS weigh in at 2490lbs. On the same day, on the same scales, my 2000 S2000 in A Stock trim weighed 2710lbs. So lightly optioned (no sunroof, leather, etc.), the MCS is around 200lbs lighter than the lightest year S2000.

Grassroots Motorsports dynoed a brand new 2007 MCS and got 174 WHP and 197 lb.-ft. at the wheels. So the MCS has a little less WHP than an S2000. But the MCS has considerably more torque, and can weigh more than 200lbs less than an S2000.

I test drove a first gen MCS back when they were supercharged with the itty bitty top mount intercooler.
One of the best handling FWD off the show floor as I recall and decent power, nice sounding exhaust and the interior was quite surprising. The suspension was solid and responsive.

 

I ran a built one at the track and it was fun as hell fully set up. It felt like awd. for a low HP car it was very fun and would be a great tuner/street car to play with. Turbo FTW

LOVE driving that little car. Only reason I didn't buy one is you can't use a rear facing child seat in it, and I need that for awhile to come. I might like to pick one up in the future though.
