Tail happy is right. Mine squatted all the time with no wheelspin whatsoever, but when it wanted to get around, it got around... which is why i dont hve it anymore... stupid trees jumping out in front of me. Gotta do the suspension and wheels up nicely to take care of that problem. I preferred the 91-92 models more just from reading on what the LSD did to the handling of 93+ models, seemed to cause understeer at times, but handling was more predictable. I was pulling mid 12s to low 13s in my Mr2, countless cars were left awestruck in my wake,

Great car! Sorry I sold mine. I vow to get another. They are reliable poket rockets and this board reminds me of the MR2 club.
The only had thing is finding one that hasn't been riced out, they are so cheap the Civic crowd is getting them.
Mid Engine, rear wheel drive, turbo with Toyota reliabillity to boot, they can be real monsters, and the engines can take 400 hp with their forged internals and oil squirter pistions.
Man I have to get another one. I like the S2000 but not $10000 more.

How much do the 93+ weigh(turbo and Non-turbo). I will be looking for a dedicated track car and was debating getting a mr2(non targa version) instead of a miata.

I sold mine last winter and picked up the S. Truthfully, I LOVED that car. My S is ok, but I had wayyyyy more fun in the MR2. And I never had major problems with it but it was not the most reliable thing in the world.
I was never stranded but had to have the turbo rebuilt. Had a broken manifold stud. The infamous "Hose from Hell" . Oil leaks. All were known as VERY common problems on that model. I only sold it because I was tired of having to do little repair items all the time. Brakes, shocks, gaskets, etc. But if I could buy one new instead of the one I had with 122,000 on it, I would take it over a new S2000 in a second. I think they look better too.
With the $50 manual boost controller and high octane gas, it will spank an S2000. $1000 in mods will get that car to a reliable 300 hp. No joke.

Theyre rare too... never really see one on the road. Of course, i dont see many s2000s on the road either for that matter, but for every 3-5 s2000s i see ill see 1 Mr2 Turbo. Rare and a true sleeper.
