Thumbs up AP2: 2005 vs 2006+

Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, I am in the market for an S! Anyway I'm on the boat between a 2005 or a 2006. Now, here are the differences I know about the two models: 2006 has a drive by wire and Traction Control. Now, to my questions..

DBW:
If anyone out there knows..how much of a difference does the drive by wire make? Does it reduce the responsiveness of the throttle? Does it help with anything? Is it there because of the traction control?

TCS:
Does the Traction Control help a ton? It's a button that can be activated and deactivated; correct? How horrible is the S in unforgiving weather, especially for inexperienced RWD drivers? How many of you actually drive with the TCS on?

Misc:
Are there any other differences between the 2005 and 2006 models? I heard that the 2006 model's suspension had minor alters from the 2005 models. I'm sure I have more questions, but they just aren't coming to me now, so I'll update as time goes on and I remember them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

Oh, PS, I'm looking for either Berlina Black or GPW..about 75/25 for black. If I have to take a GPW, an S is still an S .

You should post this in the S2000 talk section or perhaps the tech section. You might get more responses there.

So, fyrestrike, would you recommend a 2006 over a 2005 model?and have you personally felt the difference beten the cable throttle and DBW throttle in an AP2?

If you don't think about it, you'll never notice the difference and it's definitely not a reason to buy one or the other.

Thank you sir. I guess price and mileage will determine it for me then.

Oh and I'm just concerned about wrapping my new S around a pole on a wet morning.

if you're concerned about that, go with the 2006
