Audi Q5 vs Lexus RX350
#11
I'm not sure how similar the Q5 and Tiguan are, but I HATE my girlfriends moms Tiguan. There's no room in the back seats, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, the ride was rough and there wasn't much room in the trunk/hatch.

I'd grab an MDX for similar money.

gf has a 2010 rx 350, great car...er...suv....smooth, quite, practical, i think they make these for women mostly. powerful and responsive, uses Premium gas. gets about 18 mixed, maybe more on a trip. car has 15,000 miles on it and she bought it via an auto broker on a lease return , she stole it. perfect car and condition, just a bit of scratches, the thing you have in a 3 year old car used by a family, but clean and perfect. has every option known to man, includes nav, moving hid headlights, etc...
can't say much about the audi.
the lexus isnot my thing, but she loves it, she has a 2000 rx 300 for 12 yaers and loved it.

If you are worried about "drivers experience", I would suggest the '13 rx350 f sport. It adds some special extra goodies including an 8 speed transmission, which really changes the feel of how the rx drives. And the aggressive appearance helps as well.

My gf's dad just pass down the 2011 MDX with the SH-AWD to her, its a pretty awesome all around-er car, sits 8 and can haul plenty of big stuff as the seats can be fold down if needed. She gets around 16-18 mostly city miles because she use it to commute to work. We just took it to Tahoe during thanksgiving weekend no snow chain needed as well /> overall very good SUV with luxury and plenty of safely features.
ps: SH-AWD rocks />

We are expecting and was sort of in the same boat. Wife was driving an IS350 but HAD to have an SUV for baby duty. Why? Who knows guess because she is a woman.
Drove the RX350. Hated it. Didn't have the features and like others said the ride was smooth, but more floaty. I didn't think it drove well. Drove a CX-9, Volvo, X3, X5, and some others. She didn't like the looks of the Pilot so it was a no go.
We ended up buying an 2008 X5. She loves it. In the end that is all that matters I've still got my S and M3 so I don't really care as long as she is happy.
