2001 S4 - chip, exhaust, suspension and no major problems. great car and good value. now hoping to pick up a S2K to go with it.

i have an S8 - great car - no problems.

c3, suggested a bimmer, i have that as well.

in retrospect, i should have bought an a4/s4 in place of the 328 that i have based on "intangibles" that i can't put into words.

a couple of pennies for my thoughts.

I have no idea what they are like to drive ......... but I sat in one at the Detroit Auto show. If you're 6 ft. or taller you may not like getting in and out of the car and if you wear a hat, forget it! My head would hit the roof on every bump.

I am also interested in hearing all of these comments about the s4, because their is a good chance it will be my next car.

What Bimmer do you compare to the S4? 5 Series?

the only REASONABLE comparison (size, power, money, features etc.) would be the 330i - a little less power, handling is probably on par, and features/comforts are abundant on both.

my 328 is no s4, but it's no slouch either (i got the highest level sports package - sport package 3 in canada) - the car handles quite well and can hold it's own in comparison tests.

power wise, the 330 (30+ more hp) is closer to the s4 than my 328.

My attraction to the S4 is the turbos. But it's also what scares me about the reliability.
