Get a LOTUS!!! Get either the Elise of the Exige, whichever you have the budget for!!!
That way, you'll have a nice FR and a nice MR!
And BTW, Subaru's are the best AWD car bar none! So an STI or even the regular WRX is awesome!

Off the top of my head for around 40k (give or take a few k)....
Dodge Charger SRT-8/Chrysler SRT 300C, Lexus IS350, Subaru STi, Evo, 2-3 year old M3, the New Porsche Cayman (the non-S coming in the fall). I think all those would make a nice pairing with the S2000.
