No first you have to post a picture that's zoomed in way too much, tilted at a 45 degree angle, and labeled a "teaser". So that I can waste my time opening a post and looking at a picture of nothing.

And don't forget the subtitle " *Mugen Content Inside* "

BTW, I bought my 330ci ZHP because I would kill myself if I had to drive my S2K 40 miles daily on NYC roads.

BMW makes some excellent, fun-to-drive cars that manage to handle very well when driven aggressively while still offering a comfortable ride when not. That's something I've never been able to acheive in any of the previous cars I've owned and done suspension mods on.

There's a reason that the 3-series has been on Car and Driver's 10-best list for over a decade.

The majority of posters on e46fanatics.com are car enthusiasts.

I think its a fairly obvious that IN GENERAL bmws are bought because of the badge more than anything. I would guess luxery comes second and performance a distant third. Nearly all 3-series I see are driven by blonde "trophey" wives...so much for that being the enthuiest car.

I'm not bashing bmw in anyway but that's probably closer to the truth then anything else. Nothing wrong with it either, regardless of the reason, bmw is making money so what do they care? idk why all the bmw owners here are getting butt hurt over this?

every 40k millionaire around my area drives a 3xx. They're good cars, but these aren't car enthusiasts we're talking about.

Why would you not compare Porsche and BMW? You don't think Porsche isn't expanding their market too.....Cayenne, Panamera, Cayman....That's kinda like more than doubling their market!

Rover was the original marque for Land Rover (1948) and Range Rover (1978).

I will agree with you that the Rover SUV's were pioneers in the European market in the 90s and that is part of the reason why BMW took the rights to them. Once BMW had the X5 fully capable, they sold Land/Range Rover to Ford.
Because VW/Porsche is terminating the Cayenne, Panamera line...

my point proven that some company should stick to what they do best....

Reading comprehension is not your towering strength, eh? That story has about as much credibility as anything you'd find in National Enquirer, and even if true wouldn't prove your point.

You should just give up. That's and I heard it straight from Porsche. It was a speculative article that Car Magazine started. LeftLaneNews just picked the story up from them and it is all completely fabricated on imagination.

if that is true, it would prove that some company do like to stick to what they do best...but i don't think they would go throw with it just because the cayenne is selling like candy.

Without inciting to much hate I will state that the former S2000 owners in this forum who now own BWM's are some of the worst "BMW" owners I have ever been exposed to. So when I make negative comments about BMW owners, the guys here posting ridiculous stuff about every competitor and dropping constant E-peen about how superior their BWM's are to everything is why. They typically speak in absolutes about everything such as the 3 series is GOD on wheels and the G35/is350/TL/Honda S2000/etc is a bloated tuna boat. Thats my opinion as I have witnessed around here for the past 9 years and I have stated it. In my opinion they are by far the worst group in the car talk section. This may not be true for all of them, but the ones that it is are almost over powering with their e-peen/superiority talk at times.
Dude, you have some irrational BMW owner aggression going on. Need to talk about it? I hate to break it to you but douches drive every type of car.

FYI, yes - I did switch from an s2000 to an M3. Mostly because the M3 is more inconspicuous than the s2k was and I just prefer driving a sedan. They are both good cars, but sometimes people want a sports car that isn't a two seat convertible.
