Default Boot suggestions?

I put my foot down at an intersection today and it felt like I stepped in some dog poo. The sole is peeling right off my Prexport boot, I guess they are not built for riding on your toes! I will probably epoxy the bottom back on so I can use them for off-road riding rather than just toss them, but I am ready to buy a decent set of boots.

I searched some boot threads on here and a lot of people seem to like the Sidi boots. Any other suggestions? I cannot buy any gear locally, but will be in Denver in a couple of weeks and figured I should be able to find a decent shop with gear.

Can't bash Sidi but I'm also an Oxtar fan (I use their Matrix for all-weather sport-touring).

My wife has a pair of Oxtar's and they have held up much better than the Prexports, despite being cheaper.

i also like oxtar boots. i have 2 pairs of them. they are reasonably priced and offer good protection. sorry to say but i have personally crash tested them at over 100 mph and they held together fine and no injuries. (on the track)

cant go wrong with sidi or astars though.

I have a pair of Alpine Stars boots that are brand new that I only tried on that I would sell you, if you are interested. They are a size 11 or 11.5

I'm a big fan of Sidi. Had mine for 3.5 years now and wear them ~3 times a week.

I went with the Sidi Vertigo's. Great fitment and comfortable, but I have only worn them twice so far.
