BRZ vs FR-S
Now that real world pricing is out on these two version of essrntially the same car, which do you think you'd buy?
A BRZ with destination is basically $28k. The FR-S is closer to $25k.

BRZ sales should be about half FR-S sales annually based on manufacturer projections. The differences are pretty minimal, so where would you justify the extra expense of the BRZ?

HIDs. The Nav has some nice features, but overall pales in comparison to google maps on a phone. Bluetooth is awesome, but I think it's also offered on the Scion. Optional audio offered on the FRS also works in the BRZ.
Any suspension differences are moot if you go aftermarket. Same with front bumper.
I own a BRZ
Sticker on my car is 26k. 28k is the higher trim that comes with leather, fogs, spoiler, automaic climate control, push button start, etc.

BRZ, simply because:
If I got a BRZ that front end would have to go.
If I got a FRS those front lights would have to go.
I'd bank it'd be cheaper to get a aftermarket bumper and paint it, than brand new BRZ headlights.
From a bro's perspective, Subbies > Scion.
From a ho's perspective, Scion > Subbies.

FRS has projectors therefore just needs HID kit which arent expensive. If it ain't some high dollar Audi, it doesnt need those LED lamps (although I'd still love them lol).
Stock nav is crap anyway, rather get an a/m one that will perfectly mount in the stock location.
Both of my mods will still be cheaper and up to me if I want to do them.
Subaru badge over scion means nothing to me, and for to those who thinks it does need have conversations with women more often.
But my main reason is that the FRS is already expensive, although justifiably so, as it is, which forces one to consider the likes of the gen coupe 3.8 and mustang gt. Both more expensive, but the leap isn't drastic, but the difference in performance is huge, and as it has been discussed in nauseam if youre not going to track it, whats the point in having the frs over a gt mustang besides cost? So for me, the BRZ makes that decision even harder since it's price point is literally right there of that of a base GT mustang.
The subaru's interior isnt any better until you get the limited version to which it is just about 30k.
Bottom line, it's billed to be an affordable car, if I wanted something more premium I'd go elsewhere (Z, newer S, etc), but this is a value based car that's destined to be modded, so I'd go with the FRS.
