Default BRZ vs S2000

Please move if this needs to be in street encounters or thrown into another BRZ/FT86 thread. I just thought this is a little different than most BRZ post because it shows an actual video of a straight up drag race between a BRZ and an AP2 with a 2.0L motor. I would love to see an actual video of a S2000 racing a BRZ/FT86 on a track. It appears the BRZ is an automatic.

Sorry I don't know how to post videos on the wall...

What makes you think the BRZ is an auto tranny? There was no visible PRNDL on the instrument panel, but there was a small shift light.

Did I miss something?

Maybe it's just me but the reflection at :33 seconds appears (and sound) is the driver using paddle shifters. I may be wrong but that's what I hear and kinda see.

automatic or manual doesnt matter. A car is not suddenly going to be .7sec faster with one transmission versus the other. The S2000 straight motored on by!!!

That is a straight out butt kicking. But not unexpectedly.

It was a manual - the brake lights were not on prior to the start, indicating it was in neutral.

Honestly, I have no idea why people are even bothering to compare these two cars, and then even putting down the BRZ/whatever86 because it doesn't live up to the standards of the S2000.

IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO.

Click for rant.

They should re-run the race with both cars carrying their extra set of track wheels in the car.

Or else realize that the S2000 comes standard with track-ready wheels and tires and thus would have an even greater advantage (as it should, given the price difference)?
