I highly doubt that police dept actually bought and paid for that car. Like in many municipalities, car manufacturers do "promo" cars for emergency services. We've got a VW New Beatle police car, a couple of Mini EMS cars, a BMW rapid response motorcycle for EMS. I've also seen Viper police cars. We even have a Viper coupe Fire Dept. car that was a gift from Dodge at the end of the "Viper" TV series.
These things are not owned by the respective departments. They are used only for PR functions and generally on loan for a year or less.

This thread could turn into another chapter in the new book, "Gullibles Travels".

You are right, luckily for the Gallardo owners they did not get the C6 Z06 version... ;)

 

Helicopter is better, its faster and doesn't put other people in danger. Worth the extra coin.

Isn't the police lambo used for hi speed organ delievery.
