Well, ideally I'd have something like a GT3 stripped down as a true weekend track car, yes. But realistically, whatever I'd have as my weekend car would also have to be refined enough for me to drive to/from work on occasion and have at least a little functionality. My turbo S was my weekened car, but I could still throw my golf bag in the trunk or take it to the office without it being a hassle. I'd actually love to pick up a Cayman S as a weekend car one day.

I'm not saying I would never daily a GT-R, I'm just saying at that price point it wouldn't be on my short list of cars I'd want as my daily driver.

By the way, you can fit at least two golf bags in the trunk of a GT-R.

You have definitely driven a GT-R more miles than anyone I know, so I know you don't have a problem with it as a daily. I should have hit you up for a ride last time you were down.

Haven't been down in awhile. Should be down mid-September though.

Bingo, life's too short to hold on to one car for too long, you have to try all the different cool stuff out there. I've had I4, I4 turbo, V6, V6 turbo, I6, Rotary, RWD, AWD, FWD, just missing V8 and V10

And Mark, I don't sell cars high, I just buy them low
Yeah, same here - I switch cars a lot (and get tons of flack from family/coworkers/friends). I just mis-interpreted your message as meaning you don't think you'll keep it long as you thought you would, hence you're not really feeling it.

You forgot to mention boxer 6 (your Cayman)

Congrats on the GTR! Although I wouldn't give up a Lotus for one. Heck.. if someone were to give me a GTR for free, I'd sell it immediately & buy a Lotus or Porsche (both of which you have/had).

Have you driven a GT-R? It's one heck of a fine machine. The Lotus is really just a toy, sucks for everything except track time.

There is no doubt its an amazing machine! And makes fast lap times possible with any driver. Which is why I like a Porsche/Lotus more, they reward a good driver. Just IMO.
