So is Schumacher ACTUALLY the Stig or was that just a way for him to make a guest appearance?

Was the guy who was supposedly some little known stuntman/ former race drive just a rumor?


The daily mail says:

His identity is a closely-guarded secret - although many people have speculated about who inhabits the famous white overalls and helmet.
Some reports insist he is a Norwegian racing car driver, others a Frenchman.
In January it was revealed that the BBC employs no fewer than eight


So is it they just call in professional drivers and have them wear the Stig gear without having one true Stig?

from what i heard.... Shoey was a regular but that they had multiple 'stigs'.

 

He did look REALLY skinny in the white suit. I did not remember ever seeing the Stig look like such a beanpole.

 

Shoey was never a regular lol. They have used other people in other locations (while traveling ect) as the stig, but the hotlaps are all set by the same stig (look at his hand movement, positions, and body size in each of the laps)

Ben Collins was all but proven to be THIS stig. They have audio clips of him speaking after an actual race (He has done several formula series, GT, and Lemans) and audio of him speaking as the stig(which you dont see on the broadcast show, he does instruct the celebrities and talk at other events) You can also compare his physical dimensions to that of the regular stig, they match up perfectly.

 

So who was the Stig's African cousin?

Yeah, I was surprised to see Schumacher as the Stig.
Maybe it was just a one time thing.
The lap in the black FXX was just unreal.

I'm pretty sure it's because that was the same episode the Ferrari FXX was driven around the track, but because of Ferrari's strick rules, Schumacher was the only one allowed to drive it since it was his car.

I could be wrong though.

 

My guess was that whoever lent/sent them the hyper cars to test sent a support team and a factory driver to milk the best our of their own cars. I was almost certain after Schumacher was shown to be "the" stig on the FXX episode.

Now that 4evertopless is saying its the same guy and defended it pretty well Im not sure what to think.

Then again, I don't really care as long as whoever is behind the wheel represents each respective car well.
