Unhappy Car shock?

Sometimes I keep getting shocked by touching my car's doors or even house doors. And sometimes it hurts too. Does anyone know why this is? Electromagnetic? But how come it doesn't happen to all of my family members or friends?

Depends on what you wear. Find the family member who claims to NOT get shocked and wear all their clothes. If it's a female, I want to see pictures.

I don't.

But hey, whatever floats your boat... I'm not here to judge.

Less humidity in winter promotes a better condition for electricity to jump.

HINT: To reduce the shock, hold onto the metal part of the door while you put your feet on the ground.

I too do not want to see my female family members not wearing clothes.

It may have something to do with the fact that the electricity is ground to the car's chassis. When I added this 1500 W sound system into my old Civic, it was grounded to the body of the car, and that's when I started to get shocked and it sometimes hurt...

Another theory is the carpeting on the car's floor. Maybe the constant clutching, braking, and throttle charges up those electrons.

It shouldn't happen in the S2k... Leather seats usually don't create enough friction.

Happens to me every time I drive my girl's Accord though...
