yes, speaking from personal experience.
Agree on the Ferrari. It was the closest driving experience i've had to the s2000.

LOL, right after the OP states that he can't afford a late model M3 the very next poster suggests a Ferrari.

I did see that too. Original post didn't limit the budget

What about the Miata? The interior felt a touch bigger to me than the s2K. Obviously down in power though. Wait a week and see what the new Miata/AR Spider specs looks like.

Going a little further back to the 80-90's you could get a Porsche 944/968, Alfa Romeo spiders, MR-2.

Going further back still you have Porsche 914, MG's, Triumphs, Alpines, etc.

No this is good. Next time I tell someone driving an S2000 is like driving a Ferrari I can use this thread to justify my statement.

I always thought of the SLS AMG's as a S2000 on steroids. Kind of makes our cars look like a Miata as far as looks go. lol

I'd suggest a boxster/cayman S. Similar size/feel to the s2000, more powerful, roomier inside, plus dual trunks even make them more practical (as much as a two seater can be considered practical). Just a question of how much you're willing to pay. I absolutely love my 987 cayman s, but the 981 boxster looks like a sweet upgrade from an s2000 if you're looking to stay in a drop-top.
