Catchy Title: S2000's and VW's>?
Hey, I'm new to this forum but I've been snooping around for awhile. My brother is getting an s2k in a couple of months so I thought it was time for me to join this forum.
I drive a 2004 VW GTI (silverstone, just like the s2k color)......Let me clear some things up first.
1. I do not think that my car chipped is the fastest thing on the road
2. I know my car is not reliabe
3. Yes, I still like it a lot
This is what it looks like know (with some photochopping but it will eventually look somewhat the same).......
Any comments are welcome, and great forum
Side note: We don't have any of these cool smilies on vwvortex.....

Welcome. I'm 2 time vw owner too, previous gen vr6 and current gen 1.8t. Your brother is making a wise choice. Once you get used to the limited interior space and the high revving engine, you would find it hard to move back to any vw/audi sports/sporty cars. Enjoy!

1. Well, you don't have to get an entirely new hood. They make an insert that goes in place of the notch and a badgless grill....
2. I'll eventually get a eurobumper so that I would be able to not have sidemarkers but until then i'm going to colormatch my current sidemarkers.
Thanks for the comments

I have test-driven a few VWs, the most recent of which was a 2003 Jetta 1.8T. It had HUGE turbo lag, but when it kicked in, it MOVED!
I like GTIs and Jettas a lot.

Turbo lag is somewhat of a problem but not anymore then on other turbo cars (well, not by much)... Once you chip the car and/or get a bigger downpipe your all set.
O, and thanks. I like s2000's a lot to
