I'm not talking about a POS beater car, I'm talking about a EVO MR or a 330i (type of car). That's the difference.
I'm saying: "Do you think a Cayman S is worth a 330i or EVO MR on top of the price of a S2000?" --
I'm not talking about getting 75 Yugos instead of one Cayman S.
I like the current Posche lineup: Boxster -> Boxster S -> Cayman S -> 911 Carrera -> 911 Carrera S -> 911 GT3 -> 911 Turbo. Five NA engines and one Turbocharged. Price and horsepower go up step by step.

IMO the Boxster or Cayman should be entry level Porsche cars like a 944 was back in the day.
Until Porsche has a hard time selling the cayman, BS, 911, etc they aren't overpriced. IF they are or do have problems selling them at the price point then people saying they cost to much might have an argument. But, if people are willing to pay it why lower the cost? Why increase the HP/Price ratio? They seem to be making money hand over fist. Trust me if Chevy could sell the Z06 for $110k they would, but they can't. The vette satisfies the people who crave more performance for their money and the porsche satisfies people who don't value performance as much as other things.
The cayman may look like the NSX in HP/price, if it sells well it will succeed where the NSX failed.

Remember, Porsche prices its products to generate the most profitability and ultimately maximize value creation for its shareholders. Porsche's mission is not to offer consumers the best bang for the buck. Its cars will be priced according to expectations of what the market will tolerate at target volume.
