Civic Si or Mazdaspeed3?
I have an 07 civic si sedan with 23k. I like it but it's not as good of a car as I'd hoped it'd be. Lots of wind noise, a couple rattles that can't be tracked down, ride is excessively rough, and it's kind of slow. It does handle VERY well though.
I have a chance to trade for an 07 Mazdaspeed3 with 30k on it. It would be an even trade. I've driven the mazes for two days, and like the ride better, but the build quality is not there. And this thing is FAST! I hate to admit it, but it's almost too fast. It will break traction in 2nd gear when the boost comes on, and torque steer will pull it from side to side on hard acceleration at any speed. I almost side swiped a car I was passing on a two lane road tonight because the torque steer yanked the wheel to the right. The handling just isn't as sharp.
I commute about 70 miles per day, and honestly think neither car I'd ideal. Maybe I should buy a camry or accord? :-)
What's the consensus here? Is the Honda or the Mazda the better car?

Maybe you ought to test drive more cars to see what you like the best. Sounds to me like you're getting rid of a car you don't love and looking at replacing it with another one that just has different problems. No car is perfect, but the least you can do is drive a few other cars to see which one is the best for you and prevent second guessing and regret after you buy a car.
