I think someone bought the car from Keyes and then wanted to resell it and make some $ so he parked it in front of Keyes and when they saw it they redecorated it.

but the "lemon" in the windshield sign looks like it was part of the sign to begin with... maybe the owner bought a lemon, go into a dispute with Keyes, and decided to make an example of himself in front of the Keyes service dept.

That's more like it. I've seen this done with Pontiacs and Hyundais. Odd that it would be a MB.

That makes more sence because Keyes could have gotten in trouble if they did that to a private car.

Why would Keyes mark that car as a Lemon making people think all MB's are lemons? More likely the car had a lot of problems and the owner was not getting treated according to what he/she expected, so they parked it outside to hurt Keyes and make someone think twice about buying a Benz.
