Default Coilovers for RSX Type-S

Can anyone recommend some Coilovers for RSX Type-S that are not crazy expensive and good quality/performance?

Thanks.

Ask Here

From what I've heard, a smiple swap to the Type R sway bar makes a lot of difference.

I was afraid someone was going to point me here.

I'm asking here because my cousin has not been getting any quality answers on that board. The members who have been responding to him do not seem to be all the knowledgable. Not like the guys we have on here. I thought maybe a former RSX owner and someone with a friend who knew would be able to help.

Front sway? Rear Sway? or Both?

Thanks.

I would do tein....with out without the EDFC, and type R or Hotchkis (spelling?) sways. Xbrace, and front/rear strut towers, and the car will be on rails. total of about 2600. Will run with s2ks with this setup.

I had Zeal S6 on my ITR.... so nice. Very stiff but tolerable. All aluminum, 6 way adj. damper, adjustable ride height at the shock body, 12k/8k rates. 42mm piston. lightweight swift springs.

Zeal. I can vouch for these based on first-hand experience w/ the RSX. They're rather pricey though!

I have JIC FLT A2 on my RSX.
I haven't had any problems with it, but some people actually had a problems.(I actually love the way they perform.)

This is from zeroryde
"Apparently they were either defective or some BS like that cause I had major bump steer and dampening problems, yet they were not leaking and/or blown. Also, the camber plates got stripped from the bolts that hold the damper in...which didn't make sense.
The front lower shock bodies were also ovalized somehow and the dampers moved/jiggled when you turn the wheels back and forth....only the steering rack should be moving, but it wasn't...and the dampers were..."

and their customer service is horrible.

I'd go with Zeal V6.
I know they are very expensive (around $2400)
but ZEAL V6 already comes with lower tid rod point so you don't have to worry about breaking your tie rod when you lower your car too low.
V6 also has 2 different versions.
Version 1 is for the street and they have Front Kg: 10.00 Rear Kg: 10.00
Verison 2 is for the Circuit racing and they have Front Kg: 12.00Rear Kg: 12.00
Prices are the same.

the best thing about having Zeal product is their customer service.( Their customer service is amazing)
