Default considering a C5...

I am seriously considering selling the S2000 and grabbing a C5. The prices have dropped on the older ones and will drop even more when the C6 is launched. You can pick up a 98 or 99 for around 25K. Seems like a good deal to me!!?? I really love the Honda, but I really love torque even more. I just wish that the corvette wasn't a dime a dozen here in Detroit. Am I crazy, my fellow s2k fans?

Corvettes have become a dime a dozen everywhere, but when your in it, you still feel like the only one.

It to is my intention to get a vette after my S2k, but im waiting for the ripe old age of 25...insurance is killer if ure under 25

I have owned three Corvettes and I am an on-track instructor for three Corvette Clubs. You're not crazy. I took the S2K over the Corvette because I like the smaller size of the car but the Corvette is one hell of a good deal and IMO a better daily driver than the S2000.

Thanks for the input!!
I hear you about insurance on a vette. I was quoted $360/month when I was looking at them two years ago. That was before I was 25, didn

I would take a z06 over a s2000, but I don't think that I would take a C5 over it. I just like the s2000 better and the C5 doesn't have enough power to justify the move over a S2000 (for me).

I've seen 01 Z06s for $31K. I think a 01 C5 should be closeer to $26-27K ?

IMO the Z06 is worth whe extra money, more power, less weight, lighter wheels, gearing. The whole package is worth more than just the extra power.

...but you can't drop the top or remove the glass panel on a Z06. What can I say, I like to enjoy the 5 sunny days we have here in Michigan......and go Pistons.

actually, my uncle used to have a Z06, and that was the main reason that he sold it for a C5.
