considering a C5...
he probably wont keep it for long. he just happened to be at the dealership when they had a red, glass-roof C5, and he was intrigued with the roof and bought it as his last C5 model vette before the C6.
we had a C5 convertible. it was a great car. we had it before the Z-06 was available, but i must say that when driving it there was never a thought of needing more power. It is still a very quick, very torquey car.
don't buy one!! it doesn't have VTEC!! 
but seriously, corvettes are nice when new, but after 15K or so miles, the thing begins to feel really worn out (much like porsches after the same mileage) and every and all panels begin to rattle. aside from that, the car feels too big and bulky for my taste.

you may think that is the case. after i turned 25, i began buying faster and more powerful cars. turned out i began to drive faster and faster, so low and behold, i ended up getting more and more tickets. now my insurance at the age of 28 is higher than it was when i was 21.
