Dude seriously, I often wonder the same thing. I learned verts are not for me, I hate the heat, I burn easily, I could deal with exhaust fumes but it's just uncomfortable for me most of the time. Now on those really hot days, the nighttime makes for some great top down driving, or sunny winter days (live in CA). I'm contemplating gutting the soft top and installing a hardtop.

Unless it's incredibly hot (>100 degrees), I will put the top down. I rarely ever really sweat so it's not a problem for me. But yes, I love driving at night with the top down when it's warm.

i feel the same! i live in hawaii the only benefit with the top down is when there is a slight overcast and the clouds are covering the sun partially or when im driving around a curvey road. if im stuck in traffic it sucks!! but i do find myself driving top down just before the sun goes down or at night most of the time. cooler is better then hotter!!!

I beg to differ, I grew up north of Detroit, and it got nasty hot and humid, just like it does in the SE.
I'm sure you would...check a map, I'm not north of Detroit or anywhere near it, you were more than likely close to the lakes where the weather is totally different.

I lived in Houston for 20 years, that is hot and humid, Michigan is not even close.

This applies to most locations, at least part of the year.

I constantly see people driving around in the middle of a scorching hot summer day, top down, bumper to bumper traffic, exhaust fumes in their face and sun beating down on them. I'm talking 95 degree days with high humidity in black cars with black leather! And they sit there with not one bead of sweat on them, soaking it all in. Maybe some of them have the A/C cranked on... I don't know.

Is it just me, or does anyone else like the convertible top down at night way more? When the temperatures have cooled slightly and there is no sun making you half blind. Not to mention, you're not sweating through your clothes. Plus, the air always feels extra crisp and clean at night once traffic has subsided.

Whatever floats your boat, but I just like top down more at night, or on 60-80 degree overcast days. Anyone else feel this way? I'm just curious. Maybe I sweat more than normal or something .
When I had my black/black s2000, I would sit in traffic on a humid 90 degree day and only sweat a little bit on my back. But that's it. It wasn't that bad and I would only turn on the a/c if it was upwards of 96 or the humidity was really bad that day.

I'm not a prone to sweating either, so maybe that helps too?

When I had my S2000, top down days were rare for me in Texas. So much so that after a while I really wished the S2000 had a coupe version (Fawk buying a hardtop).

Our weather sucks here 8 months a year. I take in the warmth every chance I get, so I love baking in my S during hot days.

I live in California. My top is up when it's raining, and that's about it. Having a convertible is about the most freeing thing in the world.

Yeah, in Florida, a vert is actually more fun on the spring and fall - daytime during the summer you get pretty roasted. I'm going to keep some SPF50 in the S
