Yawn, depends on what you want. If you want a 333hp Kraut Coupe with decent build quality and materials (though not great reliability), buy the M3.

If you want one of the best sports cars in the world, get a C6 Z51 six-speed and grin every time you fire it up and hear that 400hp 6.0L motor roar.

 

I'm not even sure how people compare the corvette and the M3..... maybe the vette and a used 911, or used viper. The vette is a fairly refined car, never more so than now with the C6. Don't judge the car til you drive it. Its a very comfortable cruising car, but comes straight from the factory fast as *#$%. That and there are few cars that are easier to get power from than vettes equiped with SBC's!

 

I'm just nervous about the first year of ANY car. I would rather have one of the last ones, than one of the first ones.

 

Yea, C6 with the Z51 is awesome. Only C6 i've driven had this performance package on it, and is by far the second fastest car i've driven....... the fastest being a 2002 Z06 putting out about 400-410rwhp

 

hahahaha now that's rich! have you ever checked out any of the E46 M3 boards?? i'd place the "quality" on par with a Ford Mustang. I sure as hell wouldn't buy one of those without a strong-ass warranty that's for sure.
