Crossfire SRT6

The MAIN point is that it's an Automatic, which defeats the purpose of driving a sportscar. This is pretty much the first criteria for all of us when choosing a sportscar. I don't give a damn whatever the cons and pros of this car. I don't care if a car is better in every way. If it's an Automatic, I'd never buy it.
Whatever floats the OP's boat though. Doesn't hurt to try something different, but if you are a true enthusiast, you'll be back to driving a manual stick pretty soon.

Please post that in every Corvette thread cause that group can't stand any bashing on their choice and can't even imagine that there is anyone that does not like Corvettes.
I've criticised NSXs in those old exotic/supercar threads, yet I'd seriously consider choosing one over a CS. I knock BMWs in general for their expensive ownership costs, yet I think teh M3 probably has everything I'm looking for in a car. And I go at it with ZX10 over the FD, yet I still love them.

I can really only think of a small handful of folk who defend the vettes (quikag, jonboy, that dude who had the blue z06 whose name escapes me), or domestics in general, besides me, and what you'll find is that most of us tend to like other cars and have proven so with our purchases. We also don't go around bashing other cars that aren't what we follow. People on these boards tend to bash the cars based on misinformation.

Very mature indeed. Everyone has an opinion and that is fine. It is the lack of tactfullness i do not get.
so many internet tough-guys out there, this is hilarious.
buy what makes you happy. if you like the SRT6, do it. if you prefer a lifted diesel F-350, fine. you bought something you like -- great! hope you like it!
why do people always seek approval from everyone else?

while im not a fan of chrysler cars in general, congrats on your purchase. the SRT6 Crossfire has intrigued me for a while.
not everyone needs a manual s2000 for the rest of their life, its fun to switch it up with different types of cars.
you bought something you liked, hope you enjoy it!

Sorry to be a downer, but C&D just named the Crossfire as one of the biggest flops of the last 25 years. Enjoy.

Hmm, I know a good number of enthusiasts who have raced competitively, some even taught at driving schools like Bondurant, can take an entire car apart, grind it down to bare metal, and put it altogether and do their own bodywork, and their entire current stable are automatic cars, old era muscle cars in fact (no not a mustang or camaro) along with some newer toys. In fact, I know alot of them old school muscle car guys typically buy automatic cars yet I find them to be a lot more enthusiastic with the car hobby than most folks here who just know how to shop online for the latest jdm trend and pay someone else to install it.

Oh yeah I forgot about that.
