Crossfire SRT6
I never even tried driving with the A/C until last week and immediately learned my lesson. The car is unbearable with it on. Never really driven a car that's affected so much by the A/C, take the already lethargic power band and reduces it by what feels like 50% when the A/C is running.

With zero traction maybe. These cars run bottom 13's @ 106-109mph stock. I believe some have even run 13.00 in them. The difference between a 13.5 car and 14.0 car is bigger than you think. Especially with a 6-9mph trap difference. They will run away from the s2k in a straight line.
That was my point.

Yeah I really don't understand the condescending attitude toward peoples purchasing decisions.
What's even worse are the S2000 nut huggers that feel like they need to defend their ownership. Anytime a car with more power capable of destroying a S2000 in a straight line comes along it's immedietely dismissed.
"Take it anywhere near a corner and the S2K will win" - seems to be the default response. This is hysterical when these same people drop that line when a GT cruising car like this SRT6 is in question. Yeah I'm sure you'll take that 45 degree right hander at a stoplight faster then his car, as if that was his biggest concern when choosing to buy what he bought.
Or.
"S2000's are not drag racing cars" - yes the car gets a free pass for it's underwhelming straight line performance. All of these nicely crafted excuses.
All I have to say to some of you is get over your car. People don't run in here bashing S2000's so why attack their car? Our cars are old, extremely inexpensive and currently in line to be king of rice due to affordability yet some owners carry massive ego's.

Hell even my 37++ lb monster handles better than an S2k.
But each car gives off a deferrent personality to every driver. I will always miss my S2k but I also give credit where credit is due.
After all I am a car entheusiast!
P.s. That cannot spell worth a damn.
The MAIN point is that it's an Automatic, which defeats the purpose of driving a sportscar. This is pretty much the first criteria for all of us when choosing a sportscar. I don't give a damn whatever the cons and pros of this car. I don't care if a car is better in every way. If it's an Automatic, I'd never buy it.
Whatever floats the OP's boat though. Doesn't hurt to try something different, but if you are a true enthusiast, you'll be back to driving a manual stick pretty soon.

This thread is just further proof that there are a ton of Honda fanbois who can't accept the good qualities of any car not an S2000, much less a Honda. Its too bad, really, they're missing out.
