Default CTS V series anybody

I hate American products, but this CTS looks interesting:

Can anyone see themselves buying this over a GS430 or a E500, or a 540i ?

I know a lot of people aren't looking at $50K sedans, but if you were do you think the caddy has what it takes?

Looks promising. I'd still go with the Merc, but the Lexus doesn't do anything for me.

An E500 is atleast a mid $50's car with barely over 300hp. The GS430 is getting long in the tooth. A 400hp RWD CTS V with six-speed MANUAL transmission is going to be a killer ride for $50k even. I'd easily buy one over a GS430 and an E500.

I believe the CTS V will be competing with M3, S4, and C32 AMG.

Well, the M3 only comes in two door config. The S4 and C32AMG are nice, but quite a bit smaller interior-wise as a CTS. Should be interesting when the CTS V comes out and the car mags do a comparo. I'm predicting a 13.0 at 109mph in the 1/4 mile. With the LS6, six speed, 3.73 gearing, and under 4000 lbs, it's going to move out.
