I almost got one on the special lease (which when broken down would have been equal to leasing a $50K car like an Audi S4 or something) at that price it makes tremendous sense. If it was $50K it would be a cool car, at $90K no way. Until I got screwed by my dealer, Acura of South Bay, I was really looking forward to it. If they offered it at $50K you could then start modding it, or they could sell it at $70K/$90K but it should have Acura products similar to the Comptech stuff. If the car was a SC'ed V6 putting out 350 whp & Type R type suspension & braking with a warranty I would consider it at $75K-$90K.

If you want to, give me a call in the spring time and you can come on down and drive mine. I am in Indiana and would be more than happy to let you experience first hand what the soul of the NSX is.

Personally I would never pay 89000 for an NSX. I think it should be proced at 40k max. If I pay 90k for a car, it will have at least 500 HP.
$40K for an NSX? Biggest bull I've ever heard. Go drive an NSX against $40 or $50K cars, like M3, Boxster, Z4, etc., and tell me otherwise. Put an NSX next to those cars and see which one stands out in a stylish fashion. An NSX is a reliable exotic car! I would pay $60K for it. At $60K, it is one hella deal, considering M3 and other cars are already near $60K. Corvettes may be faster, but they still lack other qualities that the NSX has.

porsche, corvette, used ferrari...i'd always be afraid of something going wrong with it. the nsx has a stunning record of reliability. try saying that about any other 'supercar'.
There are so few NSX's out there (for reasons I am not going to repeat again, as that horse died years ago) that drawing any accurate reliability statistics for the vehicle is difficult.

An NSX is a reliable exotic car!
The only thing exotic about the NSX is the rarity, and that again has a direct relationship to the cost/performance ratio.

Corvettes may be faster, but they still lack other qualities that the NSX has.
Yeah, like interiors straight out of the 1980's.

It's most loyal defenders are the guy's who bought them used and paid between $26-45k.
This is a point I agree with. Furthermore my bet is that most of these folks are more into the attention they recieve than the actual performance of the vehicle. Because the car is so rare people tend to believe just about anything you tell them about the vehicle.

The NSX is a dated joke. There are only around 200 people per year out there stupid enough to still purchase them -- and figure the majority of these folks are probably taking advantage of the killer lease deal mentioned above. So whittle that number down to perhaps 50 morons a year -- who I would venture to guess might buy a 12 inch horse turd in a bottle to hang around their neck if it said Honda on it.

Define spring. I'm heading to the 12 hrs of Sebring in mid-March and to Road Atlanta the end of April. Either way I'm heading south through IN........ looking for soul! I did appreciate your honest assessment of both of Honda's sports car.

Bullcrap! Then the Corvettes must have interiors from the 20's. The look and feel of the NSX's interior is still very rich and quality. Try that in a Corvette, even the new one!

NSX looks better than almost all cars under $100K. Just put it next to those cars.

^^^

NSX and Skyline were the only 2 cars that I just looked at and fell in love with even before I know anything about cars.

Just kill it already. Maybe release a special edition for the final year with revised intake/exhaust/ecu 315bhp, lightened (ie Type-R), Brembos, Recaros, ok maybe I am getting carried away but it would be a cool way to honor it's last year that I am sure is coming very soon.

Yep, kill it and create a new one! But regardless, it is still a fantastic car. Driven it and loved it.
