- The car is low, not that I have a problem with this since I like lowered cars, I wouldn't buy it as a daily car though
Is that just because you're not a NSX fan or do you believe that a 911 or a Vette makes a better daily driver? By my read, the NSX is one of the better daily drivers of the group. Its low, but its so friendly. Id put it alongside a Vette for an ability to tollerate it sitting in traffic and at the drive through.

[QUOTE]To some, its pretty unexciting to drive at traffic speed and the engine/exhaust sounds are not what I call "aggressive".

As to NSX maintenace costs, what I read says Clutches are the weak spot and it eats tires. Sounds like the S2000 is carrying the same DNA.

I don't think there can be any arguement bout used ones being a Budget Supercar.

No one has really listed any vices except for it being underpowered and overpriced, especially if one were to pay list price. The NSX owners responding here were all aware of this but felt it's assests far exceeded it's vices.

And, then there's that dang tape player.

As for dated styling, that to me is purely in the eyes of the viewer. Personally, if I like a car's styling, I like it (period). Age does not matter. I liked it when it was new because I recently found I had saved the 4-page fold out from R&T that described the styling.

When it comes to rival cars, well that can be debated until the end of time.

- Maintenance cost may vary depending on how you use it, drive it sparingly and casually and it shouldn't cost more than most daily cars out there. Drive it often and hard, you'll be replacing those tires faster than you can say "but I've just barely broken in the car!". People who think that a $30k NSX is a bargain have to consider the cost of maintaining the car, most people don't even bother upgrading the performance because the cost to get there is just ridiculous.
Please stop pulling shit you nothing about out of your ass. I bought my '91 with 150K for mid twenties. I didn't have to replace a single thing and its my daily. Again another one of the those people that says "I heard" without actualy experiencing it. Your probably the same guy that says "Oh, you have to replace the motor in an Rx-7 every 60k...I know because my nissan mechanic said so." Please stop posting on subject matters you know nothing about. Thanks. BTW, go over to www.nsxprime.com and you'll know what I'm talking about. I've had 4 other Honda products two of them completely new, and this one (quality and reliability wise) blows the other 4 I had out of the water.

Well put dlq04.

I was puzzled upon first reading that tires comment because an S2000 owner would never have said it.

This thread has pretty much run its course and you made an excellent point about the lack of vices found with the NSX. Sure it may not tackle the straights like an F or P car and we can all agree that it could use some added power; however, no one can argue that it's an exceptional design with a superior build quality to most, if not all, of its competition.

I don't know of any other car's Senna had a hand in and IMO that makes it unique and special.

Ayrton Senna aided in the development of the NSX? I didn't know that.

Excellent point as well. He was an extraordinary racing driver with a bewitching ability. It is always difficult to put drivers into historical perspective but the Senna/Prost rivalry will probably come to be compared to those of Tazio Nuvolari/Achille Varzi in the 1930s or Stirling Moss/Juan-Manuel Fangio in the 1950s. Ops, my age is showing again.

[quote name='MrGTR' date='Jan 28 2005, 04:14 AM'] There's something about hearing a C5/C6 or a Ferrari at full song that makes you say wow.
