One area the NSX does well in, is top speed. I believe it's 170-175mph. That's better than most cars inc. M3, STi, EVO, (probably) Boxster S.

I know it's a dubious value except on the track.

(nine) pages of this
My NSX will do about 170 mph.....my '03 Evo VIII did 156 mph....my M3 did 146 mph (computer limited).....none of them were slow by any means.

No such luck Purple. Those pics were taken the day I got the car. Since then we've been hit with lots of snow, and the car has been under cover for about 5 weeks.

Those headlights ARE one of the things that Acura has actually improved. Ill take any improvement over the 97 that I can get And I too thought that the Y/Y would be too much. Till I saw it. I liked it alot in person.

Yep - the builder defined the width of the lots by the absolute minimum they could make a 2 car garage. We had a Volvo and my old S2000 and it was fine. I got the Sienna 2 days before the NSX and I had serious doubts the NSX would even fit as the Sienna physically takes up 50% of the floorspace. Toronto real estate is retardedly expensive. Many of the "townhouses" on this street are $1MM+.

Is that your garage door opener in that small compartment behind the shifter? I keep mine in the same place.

Love the yellow on yellow.

Yeah, if the NSX wasn't sold here (in the USA), then it would be more desirable. If the GTR WAS sold here, then it would be less desirable. And if the NSX sold for only $50,000, and Honda could match production to demand, then they'd sell like nobody's business. Even as "old and outdated" as they are.
The GTR would probably follow a similar route to the Supra, with enthusiasts trying to develop as much power from the excellent RB engine. I think the US would probably do a better job on the Skyline than the Japanese had they been exported earlier.

A GTR is as ugly as any car can get. It looks like a box of $hit.

Snow sucks. Plus it's been minus 20 (celcius) or less everyday...

You're right, it doesn't fit the description of a sports car, more like a GT.

But it goes like hell

Yes, these discussions get kind of heated....sadly, only a small fraction of the people talking about the NSX have significant first hand experience with them. Most people are speaking of what they have 'heard'....
I've had some experiences driving an NSX, here's a breakdown (don't get offended if something doesn't make you happy) :

- The car is low, not that I have a problem with this since I like lowered cars, I wouldn't buy it as a daily car though

- Perhaps one of the easiest sports car to drive. If you close your eyes and drive, you'll probably forget that you're driving a sports car capable of 155mph++, its quite subtle but purposeful when you want it to be. To some, its pretty unexciting to drive at traffic speed and the engine/exhaust sounds are not what I call "aggressive". There's something about hearing a C5/C6 or a Ferrari at full song that makes you say wow. This car doesn't have that kind of impact vocally even if you add a tubi exhaust.

- Fuel economy is great for a car like this, I wish my cars were easier on fuel but there's always a trade off when you have much faster cars.

- The interior is functional. Its not exotic, but its not sparse or cut down like the Elise or even the S2000. I guess my biggest complaint about the NSX's interior is that it looks too plasticky/80s for $90k and it originally came with a tape deck which is a real joke (tapes are heavier in weight than CDs so what were those Honda engineers thinking???).

- Maintenance cost may vary depending on how you use it, drive it sparingly and casually and it shouldn't cost more than most daily cars out there. Drive it often and hard, you'll be replacing those tires faster than you can say "but I've just barely broken in the car!". People who think that a $30k NSX is a bargain have to consider the cost of maintaining the car, most people don't even bother upgrading the performance because the cost to get there is just ridiculous.

- The exterior is dated, unfortunately. I looked at that yellow NSX and sad to say, it looks old. Maybe because I'm spoilt looking at the Ferrari 360s, Gallardos, Porsches etc etc. The back is too long, like something that belongs to a whale. The headlights looks too tame/happy, reminds me of the Beetle for some reason. Maybe its that picture that doesn't do the NSX justice, I like mine black. Sorry dood, but yellow isn't my thing (on anything).

- The NSX is not a drag car, even if you had all the money to prove people wrong, there will be a hell of a lot of other cars out there that will make the expensive NSX look very very very overrated. Spare everyone the embarrassment and drive it for what it is.

- The NSX is not the king of the twisties either. It handles its weight pretty well, but then again there are a hell of a lot of cars out there that are better (Corvettes will keep up and kill it in the straights and will continue to do so lap after lap).

The NSX is not a bad car at all, for the price though it is lousy, as you would expect from the sales numbers (they don't lie). It needs replacement, simple as that.

Corvettes on the other hand,
