Dated NSX

The CD player is now standard BTW. Outstandingpicture work. Out of them all it seems only the steering wheel seems dated when compared with the Vette. The Vette wheel is ugly (the Z06 wheel is much better). Nice car overall, if it was just $50K I would have bought it a long time ago.
It looks like the steering wheel from Potiac G6. How the heck GM designer are so damn lazy, copying a steering wheel from Potiac and put it in a Corvette! One of these days, I want to meet the designers in GM and smack them on the back of their heads and kick their behind until they wise up and come up with some good original interior design.
Sorry, I am pissed about GM's cars interior design.

For its time, the NSX was one of the best. Fast forward to 2005, the NSX still holds a timeless design but is severely outdated in the performance section and far overpriced. Even at $70K its still overpriced. I would consider it at a $60K price point.
I used to love the NSX but for the price, there are many other alternatives that look just as good, if not better, and perform far better than the NSX does... namely the 997 S.

Ok, I am one of those guys that went from a new S2000 to a really old ('91) NSX with high miles, and its one of the better decisions I've made. Its so much more livable as a daily driver, and one thing I like about it is the rarity. No, its not for the attention as most people have commented (If I wanted attention, I would have gotten an older elise or ferrari), besides when someone asks what I drive, I tell them a "14 year old Honda"...atleast I'm not lying.
I've always liked the "underdogs"...the cars less popular or rarer. Ones that not too many people know about. I had a '93 Rx-7 and that is still my favorite car that I've had the oppurtunity to own.
One thing I do agree though is that the NSX is waaaaayyy outdated, and production should have been stopped atleast 6 years ago. Price is the other thing, I don't think its worth more than $60K anymore.
Buying an older used one is the best NSX decision IMO.

Even at 15 years old the NSX is more technologically advanced than most new cars being released today
Before you pull the aluminum card, who cares, the use of Al is now damn near common -- and despite the heavy use of such materials by Honda, GM managed to make a 500 horsepower vette that weighs less without heavy use of Al.
Certainly the motor is no more advanced than your average engine. The stability control system perhaps? Oh wait it does not have one. I'm pulling a blank here finding any aspect of the vehicle which is as you say -- "more technologically advanced" than your average 15-20 grand economy car.

Point well taken. NSX's interior is dated as well as the rest of the car. It was designed like 15 years ago. But for a Corvette with a Pontiac G6 like steering wheel. There is no excuse for that.
Just take a look at the steering wheels below. Can you tell the similarity?

WOW! what a nerve we have exposed in this thread!!
