As I will miss the last attempt at a 2 seat roadster that took a 3.2l v6 to get just 215 hp and was in excess of 3100lbs and rated a bit over 20 mpg. less than that from someone I know that has one.

first off, damn mike don't you have any faith left in america? after all the focus is rated more reliable for 2008 than accord or camry. and there are plenty of good american cars.

As far as my faith in America....well...there is no America that I used to recognize. America died when the musclecar era ended....when horsepower and torque ruled all and there were no emissions rules. Was there even any Jap or German cars then? GM had what....90 percent of the market? That was a lot of torque so to speak.
