Default Driving Gloves?

Any recommendations on leather driving gloves?

OK, this is a bit off-topic, but I'm making my Xmas wish list.

I think driving gloves are kind of dorky, but I must admit to wearing them to keep my sweaty palms from gunking up the leather-covered steering wheel. Wheelskins

Just "kind of"? Sorry, but anytime I get near a pair of those things with all the little holes where your knuckles are and one on the back of hand, I feel all the testosterone flee from my body. I wear fur lined black leather gloves for winter warmth but I see you're in Texas so these might be a tad too hot.
If one must wear gloves for driving, how about "Mechanix" gloves for the "manly man". Or a good fitting pair of slash resistant black leather "police" gloves.

The best pair I ever owned were Jim Clark models in 1967. They were Kangaroo leather with spandex panels on the sides of the fingers. Fit, well... like a glove. I've never had anything better, and they were very "manly man." (Not in the context as used by John Belushi).

I went to a nice leather shop at the mall and got a black pair, with thin leather, with all the little holes where your knuckles are and one on the back of hand . They are very nice and do the job but are unlined and so far, after wearing them quite a few times, the black stain still bleeds onto my palms and looks really dorky!

In the Canadian winters and the heat of summer, gloves are necessary for the shifter knob. I use these autumn gloves with suede palms, good grippage, less slippage

Not to take issue with X-Viper
But ... Driving gloves go hand in hand
with a pure sports car, like the S2000.
