So you get Toyota quality, with Lotus service / repair bills?

Ummmm, I don't think so.

That was one of the great things about the S2000. "Exotic" car performance, with the basic reliability of a Honda. I say "basic", because we all know the S does require a little more attention.
Thankfully, don't have to pay exotic money to repair it.

If the Elise is so much like a kit car, why not go all the way and do a Super Seven clone ? or any of the other English hit-rod kit-like cars (they have a long history over there of kit-like cars on the street) ?
