I don't think people who are looking at these cars are looking at Vipers or Z06's, completely different class of cars. These are more for people with families or need the extra storage room/seats, but still want to go fast. It seems we are all getting older, & the fast crowd that was fixing up cars in their early 20's are now in their 30's & going to 40's. Now they are getting families & higher incomes. they want a car that will still tote around the kids & groceries, but when you step on it, they will give you sports car like acceleration, or in the case of the M5 still chuckable in the corners. If I was looking for a straightline beast (that can still carry four comfortably, & be modifiable) I would go for the E55. Good all around package would be the M5.
