Default eg5 civic

i was just wondering what everyones opinions are on an eg5 hatch tastfully modded with jdm goodies. im thinking a spoon front lip and wing, carbon hood, and some nice 5 spoke rims for visual and thats it. i just want a car to drive in the fall/winter. i will engine swap and boost and redo the interior to. or just buy an evo x. what would you choose.

as a rabid fan of honda hatches (proud owner of a badass ef) i'd have to say the EGg, but like sparrow said earlier they get stolen ALOT, if you want it bad enough there's ways of it not getting stolen, for example i have lojack on my s2k and my hatch

I too would choose the Evo, but am curious about everyone saying that Civic hatches get stolen all the time.

I owned two for a total of 13 years. Both were EG si, both bright red. Rims, tint, i/h/e and upgraded stereos. I had them in good and bad parts of SoCal, and good and bad parts of NYC (parked 'em outside, overnite in every borough). Drove one cross country, and both had been on long distance treks through the US. Nary a scratch or attempted break-in. Have I just been lucky?

my 00 si got stolen 2times in 14months.

First time stolen out of a mall, found it same day
second time stolen in front of the house parking lot, never found it again.

thanks for the input. i know its not really a contest but seeing as how i have my s as a serious sports car another one is not a must. i will be looking at evo gsr's cause they look hawt, awd is badass and fwd understeer is gay. for some reason i am attracted to those old little civics. maybe a future project.
