Default Electric S2000

This guy ripped out the F20C, transmission, etc, and replaced it all with batteries and a giant alternator. Interesting project!

Cool project, but c'mon, I want to see a little silent-running hoonage. It's a sportscar, not a golf cart!

We all love our engines (almost as much as hardcore FD guys like theirs), but you have to admit that the S2000 is a pretty good choice if you want to build your own Tesla. Lightweight, and comparatively a lot of room front and rear to house various components (compared with, say, Miatas, MR2s, or Fieros... not sure why I've seen so many electric Fieros).

Cool project, but I still want to see more focus on fun. I mean he's running half-amperage to the motor why? To get better range? Feh, I want to see what it does with 225 ft.lbs of torque!

Where did you find that? I found the page for the motor and it says only 100HP peak at 144 volts.
