Although I said I would never sell my 71 Bronco, six months ago I did and bought the Element. It does everything I wanted the Bronco to do only better. Drop down tail-gate, large hauling, roomy cab, easy to use controls, killer stereo, etc. Ugly? Form follows function! When I want to do some serious driving I use my 04 S2K. Two different hats for different purposes. I see the same careful, well thought out design engineering in both vehicles.

I like the Element. Wasn't too keen on it's styling at first but it grew on me. I was at a Honda dealership checking out the Civic Si and saw the Element. Sat in it for a bit and checked it out. Very smart and practical concept. Small little "truck" with tons of space and apparently really nice and fun to drive too. I give it the thumbs up. If the wife and I had kids the Element would get serious consideration. My wife didn't like it at first but when she saw it up close and sat in it etc. She quickly changed her tune.

that's the same exact thing that happened to us. we went in to go look at other honda's and she fell in love with the element.

20k miles now, no problems whatsoever.

There's no accounting for taste but to me the Element looks better to me than the H2 and the Murano. I again must stress how impressed I was with the ingeniousness of the interior. So many storage areas and seat configurations. Also, the overall space inside consideration how small this vehicle is...simply outstanding. No need for a huge V8 and 18mpg to haul a bunch of stuff.
