I had looked into one as a replacement for a work truck, but it doesn't have the carrying capability that I need, or the towing capacity.

I just traded my Civic Si for the Element and I am thrilled with my new 'lil "E."

Check out this link from the Carolina's Forum...

No offense to anyone, most of all Raul (BTW thanks for the card), but I just find the Element to be butt-ugly. Now looks are subjective, so I won't say it's a bad car, just I can't stand how it looks....way too Aztecish for me.

Now, for the size and price, it's a good buy, but I just cannot get over the tonka toy/Fisher Price looks.

Comming from a X S2000 owner to a new E owner my impression is this: (Value, Space, and unique)

1. Value - I walked away from Honda world a happy camper spending less than 20k with what I needed. Insurance? OMG I save over 70% compares to S2000. Gas, say NO to 91 Oct plus car is a cruiser keeps me outta trouble now. DaRKCrow have not gotten a ticket for 1 year now! Soon I will be a good driver (cough)!

2. Space! I was tired of S2000 since lack of storage room and passenger seats. I have taken long trips where I can carry more than 1 suit cases and chicks!

2. Unique, I get more looks in my E these days over my modded S2000. People cant beleive what the E have become after all the mods and paint job. I pull up to a club opening the front and suicide door people just go crazy. Not to memtion with my TV playing $$$$$$ on it.

Mini sub for mid bass and custom center console 10.2" screen. I turn my dash monitor off when a cop pulls up next to me. Then I can watch the one in the concole where he cant see! =P

"Did I mention the rear seats can fold down flat in the rear and car have optional privacy curtain??? $$$$$$ video, TV screen and 6000watt system = Party in my pants.....Doh I mean E!"

It's like a moving rubbermaid on the road but in a cool way I doubt any other auto maker can execute that well except Honda, and maybe Toyota. Take Aztek as an example.

My wife has one and loves it, after the first drive it was all over and we had to have it. One year and 15K later the feelings are the same and it has proven to be a great vehicle and will enjoy it for years to come.

Our is:
2004 Green (can't remember the weird name)
LX model
4WD
5spd.
