Trailblazer is a good looking SUV. Element looks like a stupid Van.

go for the element.... or try to get an xterra cheap like someone had suggested. my mom has an xterra and it kicks ass, i love driving it and it does really well off road. it's kind of a turd, but my mom's is a 2003, no S/C, so that might be why. but they're not for going fast so i don't think it should bother anyone too much, thats what the ess-too-kay is for.

don't get the trailblazer!!! they depreciate too much. i don't know why ANYONE buys chevy/GM... besides their 4x4 trucks, it seems like buying one of their vehicles is just asking for negative equity.

17k was the price for a new Trailblazer, I was actually going to look at those in the future, but may look now if that is the case...

They are a great buy, they tow 6600 lbs. and get a decent fuel economy and for 17k, thats a pretty good package.

so I went and looked at both and cant decide

the element for 17k is the ex model with the sub in the front

the trailblazer for 17k is the LT model with the sunroof and the two tone leather seats

which to get is what I dont know
You gotta be kidding? How can you even compare these two. Look at almost any GM vehicle that is 10 years old! Look at Consumer Reports on GM and you will find a very easy answer.
Just two weeks ago my girlfriend with 05 Element with NO PROBLEMS at 36,000 miles picked up some people in a rental Trailblazer with just 8000 miles broke down on the side of the road!!

Element!

GM lack of build quality versus Honda build quality - somehow to me this is not a very difficult decision to make...
