bigger turbo, and mivec should prove to be mod friendly and i think the new bumber is way better than the viii and i cant help but think (i know it may not be true) that most of the used evos have been abused. cant wait to get my 2006 Weightless White Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution iX RS !!!!

I think I actually dislike the front look compared to mine. I do like that dark blue though. (i think it started in 2005 though).

the IX only has a handfull more HP than the VIII..... you can get used 2003 evo VIII's for about $22-23k if you look around.... they come with 5 year, 60k powertrain warranty (assuming the car hasn't been modified too much).
You guys don't see the big picture... the Evo and Sti's get new numbers all the time with very little modifications, case in point... http://sportcompactcarweb.com/featur...scc_lancerevo/

Well it is ghey. Honda should have changed the S2000 to S2000 II in 2004 for bumping up the displacement and changing the bumpers.

I think a slightly used Evo would be a better purchase than a new Evo IX. Even the 2005's with supposedly more hp aren't running any quicker than the 2003-2004 versions.

i think it should... i think the only parts that are different on the main body have to do with the width of the fenders, rocker panels, etc...... same roof and trunk I would imagine.

^ Nice car!
Blackout head and taillights would look great on your car.

And a whole lot of head aches. You read the Vishnu package they put in the Car and Driver long term test car? Man nothing but problems. Not sure if they were unlucky, but damn not worth it to me.
