I agree with you. You are only going to hear about the complaints.
Plus I have my personal reservations against Mitsu. My parents were driving across country in one (10 years ago) and the rear wheel fell off. Yes, as they were crashing to a stop they saw the wheel rolling out in front of them. No one was hurt, but c'mon.
Regardless, I think the S2k is one of the best cars out today. It is the complete package (just a little small).

Congrats on the M5
I remembered you were one of the first to get the LE37s on the M3.

i don't actually think there was a clutch problem with the Evo VIII....i think it was idiots who couldn't drive for 99% of the problems.
Kind of like that idiot "s2000chris" who was here with his S2000. He broke the rear end and lots of other parts from being a monkey. he claimed the S2000 was defective or something....
www.dynoflash.com (Al) has been getting great results flashing the IX apparently, so the new engine is easier to more hp out of. Of course that would void the warranty if Mitsu figured it out, but not sure if they can....

didn't they replace the 4G63's with Mivec in the IX's?

I personally believe that's a bad thing. (why i got my IX and not a X)
Altho I thot the universal engine was for the normal Lancer =\
The Evo isn't a bad car. I second the suggestion that the reason the clutches burn out is because those that complain about it cant drive.
OH well back to chem hw.
